Description
Supporting children in different locations, along with their families by empowering and providing them with the resources needed for a healthy, safe and strong environment using applied behavior analysis. Working one to one in the treatment of autism through a multitude of activities in and out of the clinic setting, with and without direct supervision and management of mild to severe problem behaviors ranging from yelling to physical aggression with and without supervision.
Responsibilities

Communicate with the Senior Therapist on therapeutic strategies and implement changes as directed

Perform all necessary documentation and data collection on client goals each session

Ensure that all appointments have the required documentation and are converted promptly for billing to insurance

Arrange coverage for clients when absent to ensure consistency of therapy services

Communicate with supervisors regarding client progress

Report any violations according to company policies, or state and/or federal regulations

Assist clients with daily activities, including toilet training, diapering, toileting assistance, feeding, etc.

Engage clients in fun and functional activities designed to target therapeutic goals

Understand and implement all client protocols including behavior plans/crisis plans as determined by the Senior and BCBA

Maintain organization of all items utilized for therapy

Maintain cleanliness and organization of all therapy areas

Ensure the health and safety of the client at all times

Abide by all company policies and procedures and demonstrate company values in all areas of employment

Requirements

Must be physically able to interact with child on the floor, participate with the child in sporting activities, and/or run after child, and lift up to 40lbs. with reasonable accommodations

Must have valid Driver’s License

Must be 18 years of age or older

Must be able to pass a background check

Must have H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent
