25 Years of Sonnenberg Consultants: Our Journey Together

Sonnenberg Consultants is celebrating 25 years of growth, service, and commitment to the families and individuals we support. This milestone reflects our journey, our steady commitment to the families we serve, and the work we have accomplished together.


From Humble Beginnings to Pioneering Progress

Over the past 25 years, Sonnenberg has experienced a remarkable journey of growth. What began as an in-home ABA provider has grown into a center-based model designed to support clinical quality, staff sustainability, and coordinated services.


This shift allowed us to offer more clinically effective services and helped pave the way for important collaborations, most notably through the creation of Sonnenberg Schools. Together, these programs support educational programming for our clients and help create successful transitions across ages and abilities.


We are proud of the tiered Sonnenberg approach that was created in the clinics to help make this possible.


A Culture Driven by Values

A cornerstone of our success is the set of six core values we established in 2020. Shaped by diverse leadership perspectives, these values continue to guide professional development, reflective supervision, and bidirectional communication across the organization.


Our unique and constantly growing culture is driven by the dedication and teamwork of all departments. We are grateful for the diverse perspectives and experiences that contribute to our collaborative and personalized approach.


The Full-Circle Vision: Diagnosis to Retirement and Research

As we look to the future, we are continuing to build new pathways that address some of the least-funded areas of autism support. We are especially excited about the expansion of our adult programs, which will grow to include residential and independent living opportunities.


Our goal is to provide a full-circle continuum of care that supports individuals from initial diagnosis through retirement years. This vision is possible because of the Sonnenberg Model, our team, and the research that continues to guide our work.


We are more than a provider. By implementing and tracking the unique Sonnenberg Model, we are developing a curriculum to help train the next generation of behavior analysts. We are particularly proud of our current study on Reflective Supervision for leadership, which is slated for upcoming publication. At Sonnenberg, we continue working to strengthen standards through reflective practice, research, and the Sonnenberg Model.


We are grateful for the leaders, staff, families, and clients who have shaped Sonnenberg’s first 25 years and continue to guide what comes next.
