AAC and Assistive Technology: Funding and Replacing
Being able to drive can bring a strong sense of independence and freedom, and that is true for many individuals with autism as well. However, being on the spectrum can bring additional challenges, making safe driving essential. The purpose of this guide is to provide information on how individuals with autism can approach learning to drive, safety tips, and the barriers they may face.
The Midwest Council for Children with Disabilities was founded in 1997 by a group of small business owners to provide financial assistance to children challenged physically, developmentally or cognitively. MCCD provides families of these children the means to pursue medical treatments and therapies that are not covered by health insurance.

​Wisconsin Help for Homeowners (WHH) is a statewide program that can help with overdue bills like mortgage payments, property taxes, utilities, and more. The program is open to individuals and families who live in Wisconsin with overdue housing-related bills, both with and without a mortgage, who meet income and other eligibility requirements, and have experienced a qualified economic hardship since January 21, 2020.
